Subject: criminality in Romania
To: prefect@mira.gov.ro, iulian.urban@senat.ro,
With this letter I want to express my outrage about the cruel treatment of animals in Romania, starting from individuals to even more organized groups who beat to death, shoot, poison animals, and also my disappointment about how animals are treated in the care of in the municipal “shelters”, which nothing more then camps of death.
I know that Romania is a beautiful country and many Romanian people care deeply about the welfare of animals, but the protection of animals in Romania is deficient news about the treatment of stray dogs, their mass killing some times under the blind eye of municipal officials is very disturbing and I am disappointed that people to act this way are not punished.
I do not intend to visit Romania until the government will take the necessary measures to implement a law which any abuse, torture, beating, shooting, poisoning and illegal killing of healthy animals, and until all those responsible for crimes against animals will be punished. I will prefer to spend my money helping the poor animals and I will advise all my friends to do the same.
In the year 2010, it is unbelievable that in a country which is part of the EU this kind of atrocities can take place with impunity.
A country can be judged by the way it treats its animals. It is not only Ghandi who thought so. The world is watching you, and as long as you illtreat animals, you are not considered a civilized country.
damned criminals!!!
